I snapped this photo a couple of weeks back and found it on the camera tonight when I downloaded pictures from today. Judging from this I can tell why I haven’t stopped in here, but to post a few images now and then. We’ve managed to survive through all of the busy days that we’ve had and I am happy to report things will be a bit slower for the upcoming weeks – thank goodness!
March has been a month filled with planning everywhere – at work, school, church and home. I think the biggest reason why March has the lion/lamb tag is because the month can either be really wild like a lion, or nice and calm like a lamb. I just don’t remember which one it was last year – but this year the lion stands out. We had conferences for the kids, attended Kindergarten round-up for Ethan and the picture captured some of the other stuff in between.
Thankfully my wonderful husband has been extra supportive and helped things run as smoothly as they could during this hectic month – and today we celebrated. We took the day and went to the “Auto Show” in MPLS. We packed it in and all four of us headed downtown to check out the newest rides and we had a BLAST! The kids loved checking out all the new vehicles – I bet they climbed into 50 of them and we ebjoyed letting them explore as we took them in as well. It was smaller this year than in years past, but understandibly so, but there are still many options to choose from.
At the end Ryan asked “If we had to pick one what would it be?” Our answers were:
- Me – Saturn Sky
- Allison – a VW Beetle
- Ryan – Dodge Challenger ( I was surprised, since going in he wanted to see the 2010 Camaro)
- Ethan – a train (LOL, seriously this kid only has one mode of transportation that excites him)
It was such a good time! We also both liked the looks of the 2009 Nissan RT2? and of course the Porsche’s were way cool. I secretly also really liked the Audi Crossover vehicle – but hey I like what I drive now because it’s paid for!
Tomorrow will be one last day of busy before things calm down – we have 1st communion at our church so we are helping serve cake & coffee/punch after mass tomorrow morning and then in the afternoon we are celebrating my Dad & Step-Mom’s 25th wedding anniversary over lunch (or dinner, depending on what you called it growing up :~) That’s an amazing and wonderful accomplishment. Congrats to them.
And then it’s back to work & school. I’m taking a vote – don’t you think weekends should be 3 days now? Either way it is what it is. Okay, so enough rambling and take care! With luck I’ll be here again before Easter!
