I received this is my “inbox” this morning and couldn’t have said it any better.

Everyone is doing okay around here. We had a round of the flu last weekend, everyone had it but me. I guess I’m just too stubborn
We are feeling extreme weather conditions around here this week. Currently -25°F plus windchill of -40°F. Even for this Minnesotan, that is cold. Schools have been closed, but the business world goes on. I’ll be heading off to the office in a little bit as well. This is when I wish I was a teacher – you lucky people.
Today is a big day in my office, as everything I’ve been working on the last few months goes live – catalogs are arriving in mailboxes and the website will list new offerings once I get to work. Now begins the cross promotion and coordination part before we jump into planning for the next round in March/April. I’m realizing more everyday just how much there is to do in my position – I commend the person before me if she was able to accomplish it all and still live her life. Not that I don’t enjoy it, it’s just that as soon as you barely finish one thing, the next is there waiting. Thankfully I’m grounded in my belief that family comes first and I just work smarter instead of longer. I guess that’s one way to ensure job security!
With that I better get moving! Enjoy your day and STAY WARM – well unless you’re sitting on a warm beach somewhere and then I say LET ME COME AND VISIT!
